When man prays stuff happens.

Sorry it has been so long since I have last posted. A lot has happened so i am struggling which bits to share. So here we go.

Well since Blackpool we have had 2 weeks of lectures the first week on the abrahamic covenant
(heb 6 1-5 / gen 12: 1-3). This was an incredible week, I think it was so incredible because the message was so simple. The message being:

"And you will be blessed, and your shall be a blessing"

This is the one purpose of God. So you can imagine how this has been shaping all of the DTS students lives. It is very much a weight lifted off, the way we now are beginning to share the gospel has become wonderfully easier and less confusing. We have had plenty of opportunities to put this into practice. The DTS was asked to create a play for a Light Party in place of Halloween which was a huge success - we did it on Noah and the flood. Thank God for the fantastic opportunity to allow us to be a blessing by using our different skills and talents for young people.

The second week was a lecture on the bible, it sounds boring and basic, but this is what God has been doing with myself and the rest of the DTS . To many of us the bible has been unaccessible, it has been boring to us and there has been a common theme of not being able to connect with God through it. We have gone through every book of the bible from Genesis to Revelation in 4 days (hardcore). And we have experience the grace and the joy it gives God to bless us by opening up the scriptures. We have all been praying hard to move deeper into the word, to enjoy it, to find Jesus in it, to find how events join together to lead to Christ. INCREDIBLE. And dare i say it even the geneologies were fun to read.

So i have a couple of prayer requests. Before I came to Carlisle I believed that the power of prayer could change things. Now that I have been in Carlisle for 5 weeks I have seen it transform things. Prayer is a power filled tool, used with caution but used often as we are all finding that it is Gods joy to answer them. So please with what follows pray specifically but confidently that your prayers are transforming the lives of 10 young men and women of God who are going to bring the kingdom of God to the nations in incredible ways.

Prayer requests:

1. We feel we are under attack, so many of us have been seriously ill for the past 3/4 weeks of the DTS, some more than others, but it is stopping us going to the lectures so we miss out, it threatens to take our joy. So I ask that you pray for the Spirit of Healing and Health in YWAM Carlisle.

2. As we enter into a new week of lectures pray that we may focus our everything into what we are being taught. We have a saying in Carlisle. "We pray that God will wreck you", in the positive terms but we really want all preconceptions of God to be destroyed and be transformed by the Living God forever.

3. Thank God for the unity and trust being built up, pray for more of that

4. I will explain this more in a new blog but God is starting to make clear a very specific calling on my life and I need your prayer support for continual clarity and direction from God
